Morgan Peters was born and raised in southern Minnesota and moved to Baxter in 2015. Morgan has a daughter, Brinley (8) and a son, Braxton (7). Brinley joined the Barracudas in 2022 and Braxton is joining the team this year. They are excited for the 2023 season and getting the opportunity to participate in a unique sport and activity Baxter provides.
Rex, Jessica & Tripp Varn - The Varn Family has been in Baxter since 2014. Rex is a graduate of Clemson University and currently works in IT for VOCO America. Jessica is also a Clemson graduate and works as a Speech Language Pathologist for Chit Chat Therapy. Tripp is a rising 1st Grader at Orchard Park and loved his first season with the Barracudas this year. Rex enjoys staying active in local sports leagues including the Baxter Bananas men's softball team.
Blake, his wife Krista, and two daughters Emma (7) and Audrey (2) have been a Baxter resident now for over 5 years. New to the Barracudas this past year, but not to swimming, Blake has over a decade of experience as both a swimmer and head coach for multiple summer leagues and teams. He’s looking forward to using his experience to serve the Team, kids, and parents in his new role while making Barracudas swimming a fun time for everyone involved.
Hi Barracudas families! I am Emily, mom to Elise (10), a Barracuda since 2019, and Caden (3) a future Barracuda, and wife to Ben. We have lived in Baxter since 2016 and love our neighborhood! I am looking forward to supporting the team as Co-Vice President and help in any way I can to continue its success!
My name is Lindsay Link. Born and raised in upstate NY, I moved here in 2006 (and never looked back!). I have lived in Baxter since 2019 and been an enthusiastic swim mom to my daughter, Mia, since 2021. I work for Charter Properties where I’ve been a Property Manager for 16 years. I love all sports but my blood runs Steelers Black and Gold!
Jared who is originally from Washington State, moved to Baxter from Philadelphia with his wife Laura in 2019. Jared and Laura have a daughter, Sydney (9) and a son, Sawyer (7). Sydney joined the Barracudas in 2022 and Sawyer joined the team this year. The kids love the coaches and learning to be a better swimmers, a skill they put to the test on Lake Lure where we like to spend our weekends boating.
A long-time Barracudas lover, Lea is wife to Jamie and this family must really love the Barracudas (ha!). Returning for her fourth year, Lea has taken on the Secretary position this year, after holding both the VP and President positions in prior seasons. You'll find her chasing some or all of her kids on the pool deck while posting IG stories and updates :)
Jon Thomas returns to the Barracudas this year as our guiding HOA Representative. He has served in this capacity for many years and we're thrilled he continues to help support us each year! His daughter Gabby (16) is a returning Junior Coach this summer and she will also be competing in the Women's division this summer!
Katy and her family have lived in Baxter for a little over 2 years, and have enjoyed the last two seasons on the Barracudas! When she’s not cheering on her swimmers, Katy is working at her part-time brand marketing job and teaching classes at Barre3 in Kingsley. She and her husband, Tom, love living in Baxter with their 3 kids Sadie, Anna, and Cooper. She’s excited for next season with the Barracudas!
Returning for his fourth year to the Barracudas, Jamie and his family have been Barracuda parents since their oldest starting swimming in 2017. Most notably known for his baby wearing, Jamie is a father of 4, and his older children will be swimming this season (Steele Loren-11, CeCe-9, Hawke-6 and Falcon-2)!
