Swim Meets
- There are 7 opportunities to race each season during the month of June. Six official meets and one Practice Meet are held in the evenings on Mondays and Thursdays
- We have 6 dual meets as part of the league schedule on Monday and Thursday evenings in June where we compete against other Metrolina teams.
- Our first meet is a Time Trial (Practice Meet), held at our pool. Its purpose is to give every swimmer an opportunity to record a time for each event the swimmer has legal strokes.

Meet Declarations
- Please declare your swimmers for a Monday meet by 5pm the Friday before. Please declare your swimmers for a Thursday meet by 5pm the Monday before.
- We cannot accommodate late entries since we need to prepare and send our completed meet files to the opposing team prior to each meet.
- If we update a heat sheet after the cut-off time, it is only to remove and replace a declared swimmer in a relay if a swimmer has scratched due to illness or some other unforeseen circumstance. We will communicate directly with affected parents in such circumstances.
- When declaring your swimmers for meets, you may select up to three events that they would like to swim. Note that you do not need to select any events.
- 6 & unders can request additional events beyond freestyle by typing a note within the "Notes for coach" box.
- If your swimmer is only available for one relay (such as the IM rely, which comes early in the meet), please note that in the "Notes for coach" box.
- While the entry selections are ultimately up to the coach’s discretion, it is helpful to know swimmers/parents’ preferences when seeding swimmers. Please note that the coaches will only select swimmers for events that they have mastered. This is more for the benefit of swimmers than for the team itself since disqualifications can be discouraging for swimmers. The coaches will continue to work with swimmers at practice to help them master as many strokes as possible during our short season.

Age Group Assignment
- Per GCSL guidelines, age groups are based on the swimmer's age on May 31st
- A swimmer will remain in that age group the
entire season, regardless of a mid-season birthday
- For example if your swimmer is 8 on May 30 and turns 9 on June 2, they will continue to swim in the 7-8 yr old division, and you will continue to mark them up as "8".
