Sponsorship Chair

What the role requires:

• Recruit local businesses to sponsor team; looking for 10 sponsors at $500/each
• Coordinate and schedule food trucks for events
• Hang banners
• Obtain logos to send to board for T-shirts
• Work with Spirit Chair for sponsor add-ons (e.g., ice cream sandwiches, pizza, donuts)
• Work with hospitality set up on home meet days
• Oversee food truck area
• Collect swag for swimmer bags
• Thank sponsors at the end of each season (e.g. cards signed by all board members)
• Cultivate prior sponsors in the off season (e.g. Christmas cards)

What you bring:

• Minimum 1 year Swim Team experience (either with the Baxter Barracudas or other leagues)

Equipment Chair

What the role requires:

• Maintain key to storage closet and inventory
• Confirm inventory at the beginning of the season and request any needed items
• Arrive at home meets 1-1.5 hours before warm-ups to begin set up. Direct volunteers and junior coaches as needed; stay until all equipment is put away and secure
• Transport equipment to away meets; set up and tear down; return equipment to the closet; (must own a vehicle large enough to transport the equipment)
• Keep closet organized
• Report to President about any damaged or needed items
• Perform inventory at the completion of the season

What you bring:

• Minimum 1 year Swim Team experience (either with the Baxter Barracudas or other leagues)

Spirit Chair

What the role requires:

• Organize spirit events throughout the season (at practice, car decorating, etc.)
• Purchase supplies for events with Board approval, providing receipts to the Treasurer
• Plan year end party
• Recognize swimmers with birthdays on meet days (balloons)
• Gather info on seniors for Senior Salute at the last home meet
• Organize a sign-up for families to contribute treats to coaches/junior coaches
• Work with secretary to communicate and advertise events to families
• Organize spirit nights/fundraisers at local restaurants

What you bring:

• Minimum 1 year Swim Team experience (either with the Baxter Barracudas or other leagues)

Team Representative for Metrolina Swim League

What the role requires:

• Represent the Baxter Barracudas at Metrolina meetings
• Serve as the face of the swim team at meets
• Coordinate with the Barracudas Head Coach, Board, and opposing team regarding decision about weather, scoring, etc.
• Provide information to visiting team about facilities, parking, food, lanes, etc. and receive similar information from hosting team
• Receive and distribute meet files
• Work with coaches to create heat sheets
• Responsible for Finale meet organization (volunteers, communication, etc.)
