Baxter Barracudas

Regular Registration is open from March 16th to April 13th.

Late Registration is open from April 14th to May 24th.

All swimmers must be registered in order to participate in practice

• Each spring we offer a FREE swim test at the Baxter Close YMCA so parents can gauge their swimmers ability to join the team prior to registration opening
• Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted, without touching the sides or bottom of the pool in less than 90 seconds
• The swim test is NOT REQUIRED to join the team if you know your swimmer already meets these requirements

• Fees for the 2026 season are increasing due to higher costs for the team:
  • Registration fees include practices, meet participation, a team t-shirt and personalized swim cap for each registered swimmer
• Fees for the 2026 season are tiered as such:
  • First Swimmer - $140
  • Each additional swimmer - $120
  • Late Registration - $160

• Each year we select a new team swimsuit, however this is NOT required. You are allowed to wear prior seasons team swimsuit or a solid black suit, and we highly recommend you look for these on Baxter Parents Marketplace on Facebook
• Swim caps are required – each swimmer is provided a FREE PERSONALIZED CAP with registration.

• There are many contributing factors applied to the refund policy. The Coaching staff, insurance, t-shirt, caps among other things are factored in to how much it cost to run each swim season
• A FULL REFUND will be given if a swimmer no longer wants to participate for any reason up to ONE WEEK after the season has started. For example – If practices start on May 15, we will honor refunds up until May 22.
• After the first full week of practices, a 50% REFUND up to TWO WEEKS after the season has started. For example - If practices start on May 15, we will honor refunds up until May 29
• After the second week of practices have been completed NO REFUNDS will be provided
• A full week of practices is determined based on the calendar dates and not the days the swimmers are in the pool which means if a practice is cancelled due to weather/temperature the date count is still applied
• Any purchases of swimsuits and/or personalized swim caps will need to be refunded through the supplier directly and not the Barracudas Board.
